- How can we become a strong nation at the point of the last lesson?
Ans:-In this story the writer tells us about the importance of language and it is the theme of the story “The Last Lesson”.He selects that if we become a strong nation then we should love our national language. Language is the key to success. Those nations do not love their language they become vanish soon. We should respect our language from our hearts. Language gives us the way to freedom. We should adopt our language for the betterment of our future as well as our nation.
In this story, Germany has been occupied by France. German”s authority announces that in every field people must speak German. All the people of France become upset. Mr Hameel is the teacher in a school. His speech is for the students and the villagers which is based on the importance of the national language. He says that now we will learn the German language.
The Last Lesson Short Story “THEME” is no doubt that is about the importance of language. Mr Hameel elaborates that in the past, we kept away ourselves from our national language. We did not have any value for national language. It is the main cause of our downfall. If we loved our language no one could defeat us. If we want freedom again then we should learn the French language. He narrates that all the people of France live in a fool’s paradise. He also remembers them when he went hunting and when they did not come to learn their language. The time has not passed away. If we want freedom then we should take faith that we should learn our native language so that we may compete with German.
In this story, Mr. Hameel gives us the aim for success that we should love our national language. No one can’t beat us at any cost.
